Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

A 40 minute drive including a section down the M3 took us to this Nando's branch which was very easy to find. We parked up in the Morrisons car park and it was a five min walk, if that to the outlet. A huge Morrisons sits opposite a Harvesters, Frankie and Bennys, Pizza Express a Chinese buffet place as well as the Nandos and a Cineworld cinema but of course a 25 minute wait would not put us off for a cheeky Nando's. We did go across to Cineworld and had a huge scoop of the new flavour of the month chocolate chocolate chip cheesecake which I hadn't finished before we got back and got our table.

It's a relatively small branch all on one floor, maybe about thirty or forty tables so from wherever you sit you can see everything. There are six tables out front for when the weather is nicer, but the table is metal so will probably be cold. The waiting area is organised but is close to the till area which could get confusing. The guy waiting behind me was annoying, asking if I was waiting to order when the previous lady hadn't even left the counter yet. Whilst I was getting served all the other cashiers went away delaying the annoying guy which I laughed about.

Ordered easy enough, 1/4 chicken mango and lime, sweet mash and a portion of halloumi but it didn't arrive for 18 minutes. It was missed off as I was advised by a lady who came over to ask if I was waiting to eat. I thought it was a funny question, I mean I wouldn't be sitting there watching my friend eat, so she took the receipt to have them make it and had it brought over apologising. The mash was steaming hot, mouth burny hot so I couldn't eat it straight away and it was a decent portion, the halloumi was nice and the chicken was absolutely delicious. Cooked right, plenty of sauce, decent size too it's just a shame it took so long to come out.

Decoration wise it's a bit of an odd restaurant. To my right, above the row of booths are a series of portraits but the one most closest looked like a robot? A child's drawing of a robot and coloured not within the lines with the standard Nando's colouring but it still looked out of place. A series of small portraits on the back wall of the branch and block photos of horses on either side of the front wall just before you get the glass front window wall. They were definitely out of place. The ceiling was interesting in itself, and the lights are also hanging open bulbs but they fit. The colour scheme in the toilets was horrible and the cubicles the same but at least the toilets are back from the restaurant. It was an okay branch.
